A video of my screen going black after a clean driver installation for the evga nvidia gtx 670 graphics card (on windows 10). i've uploaded this video so that i can share it with evga support.. Black screen when updating nvidia driver to latest version. all good. however, if i try to update the drivers to the latest version, 365.10, during installation the display goes black and won't come back until i restart the pc.. After removing the nvidia drivers and trying to start the same applications/games that i did with them installed, there was no black screen or pc freeze which means the issues came from the drivers. i rolled back from the most recent driver update before uninstalling the drivers for good and the same problem persisted..
As it turns out, a lot of nvidia owners have reported this problem, particularly after being prompted to install a new driver version with geforce experience. the symptom of this issue is the geforce experience window showing a completely black screen..
