Audio driver: idt high definition audio codec 6.10.6491.0 had similar problems, downloaded and updated my driver. i got beats control panel installed and the sounds working but seems the "beats audio" click button and equalizer doesnt make a difference.. No sound from the speaker or headphone. there is a red cross beside the symbol of the sound on the task bar. cannot update the drive idt high definition audio codec, it said that there is some erro when trying to intall them, the device of the system that it linked did not work..
When windows has reloaded, open your downloads folder, right click on the idt installer and select 'run as administrator' to start the installation. when this has completed, restart the notebook and let windows fully load for a few minutes before checking.. Since i upgraded my preinstalled windows 8.1 laptop to windows 10, the sound quality become really bad. i even try the windows 10 high definition audio device its still produce bad sound quality. i also try idt driver from windows 8.1, it works but i have another issue on that driver..
